EVENTS - BREATHE.
BREATHE. A wellness event that focuses on finding balance between body and mind through various workshops, techniques, performances and music. The program includes yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, various forms of therapy, music and high-quality local food.
On June 29th, Mikaeli Park will be transformed into an experience
An oasis combining yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, dance, music and various wellness workshops. The day follows the natural biorhythms of humans, starting with sunrise yoga and ending with a gentle Sound Medicine evening concert.
Well-being for body and mind
The event's program is designed to support both physical and mental well-being. The program includes WiseMotion workshops developed by Dr. Hanna Poikonen, who works in Barcelona and Zurich, which combine dance neuroscience and creative movement, and breathing workshops by Leigh Ewin, who comes from Australia, where students learn stress management and body awareness. Meditation concerts combine music and mindfulness, offering the audience the opportunity to immerse themselves in the moment through music.
During the day, visitors can participate in tai chi and qigong exercises to improve body control and calm the mind. In addition, there are singing bowl relaxation, various forms of yoga, and TRE therapy, which helps the body release tension and recover from stress.
In addition to international names, the event will feature numerous local well-being professionals, such as Eeva Ojalehto / Unelma Elämä, Henna Suikki / Terapiaperhonen, Päivi Haapalehto / Rakkausen aates, and Anna Kelo / Flowvintti.
The harmony of music and well-being
Breathe also connects music with well-being. During the day, several intimate concerts will be held, featuring multi-instrumentalist Hale Heikkilä, violist Liisa Tamminen, and composer-singer Vilma Talvitie. At the end of the evening, each participant's personal dreams will be sent out to the universe in a communal ceremony.
Experiences for all senses
Several theme areas will be built in Mikaeli Park, including treatment centers and
workshop tents. On site you can enjoy healthy local and organic food, handmade tea and coffee, smoothies and delicacies made from fresh fruits and vegetables.
Breathe is a continuation of the Xamk Active Life Festival, which will be held at Saimaa Stadium on June 7. While the ActiveLife Festival focuses on meetings between wellness professionals, Breathe offers an experiential event for anyone interested in their own well-being.
The program and performers will be updated throughout the spring. Early Bird tickets go on sale on Valentine's Day, February 14th, and will be on sale for a limited time until March 3rd, after which the price of a day ticket will increase gradually towards the event date.
